The Story Behind the Story

We adopted Laifu and Nini in 2016 and 2018 and they have both been a source of so much joy to us both. As we got to know them better, we learnt how different their characters were as well as how much joy they can bring not just to our lives, but to the lives of others around the world. The question was how?

How the story of Laifu and Nini came to life

As uncles and aunts of nephews and nieces, we knew we wanted to bring an educational angle to how Laifu and Nini's stories are told. Children at that young age are still exploring the world around them, discovering brand new emotions that they need to understand and learn how to navigate.

With Laifu and Nini forever our youngsters, it was a perfect way to journey through their eyes, and allow children and parents to experience these new emotions and experiences once again during a bedtime story, to give them both the opportunity to explore and discuss, and nurture your child's growth and development.

Our stories are based on the experiences of Laifu and Nini. We've had to tweak their stories on occasion to touch on the experiences our nephews and nieces have had, and ensure it gave parents the opportunity to discuss these experiences with their children.

One such example is how Laifu truly welcomed Nini with open arms, shared her treats, food and water bowl with her, and kept her company every night since. Whilst we were lucky, we know how competitive children can be after a 2nd sibling comes along and competes for their parent's love and attention.

To bring this world to life, we've worked hard on making this world come alive with narration, music, and high quality images that would make children love this world and want to explore it.
